Privacy Policy

Ostin is made by Daniel Baldwin (“we”). Ostin is a personal tracker for GLP-1 medication. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.

Data you enter

Shots, your dose plan, supply, protein you enter, side effects, appetite check-ins, workouts you log, appointments, care contacts and settings are stored on your device. If iCloud sync is on (Settings → Data), they are also stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit so they appear on your other devices. We cannot access your iCloud data. You can turn iCloud sync off at any time.

Apple Health

With your permission, Ostin reads dietary protein, body weight and workouts from Apple Health, and saves weights you enter to Apple Health. Data read from Apple Health is only used to show it to you in the app. It is not stored in iCloud by Ostin, not sent to Ostin's server, and not used for marketing, advertising or data mining.

Reminder server

To show your next shot on the Lock Screen and clear reminders on your other devices, the app sends Ostin's reminder server (hosted on Cloudflare) the following: Apple push notification tokens; a random install ID; an anonymous account key (a one-way hash, so your other devices can be grouped without identifying you); the times your next shot is due; and the medication name, dose (with syringe units, if you use them) and injection site shown on the Lock Screen card. Nothing else is sent: no history, weight, side effects, protein, health records, name or contact details. This information is replaced each time it changes and deleted when you erase your data in the app. Pushes are delivered by Apple's push notification service.

Purchases

Ostin Plus is purchased through the App Store. Apple handles payment; Ostin receives only confirmation that the purchase was made.

Exports and reports

Backups, spreadsheets and doctor reports are created on your device and only leave it when you choose to share them.

This website

This site uses no cookies, trackers or analytics.

Deleting your data

Settings → Erase All Data deletes everything Ostin stores, on all your devices, and removes your device from the reminder server. Data in Apple Health is managed in the Health app. Deleting the app removes its data from that device.

Children

Ostin is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.

Medical information

Ostin records and follows the plan your prescriber gives you. It does not provide medical advice. Check with your doctor before making changes to your treatment.
